Senior AI SDLC Practitioner / Technical Delivery Lead

This is a senior practitioner opportunity centered on AI-enabled software delivery transformation. The role involves collaborating directly with engineering leaders, platform teams, and executive stakeholders to assess current SDLC capabilities, identify AI enablement opportunities, and design pragmatic future-state delivery models. This encompasses a blend of AI enablement, SDLC modernisation, engineering productivity uplift, test automation strategy, CI/CD, platform improvement, and governance design, requiring both technical credibility and confident executive engagement. The initial engagement will focus on AI enablement, SDLC maturity assessment, AI tooling and governance strategy, delivery workflow optimization, testing/release modernization, and engineering operating model uplift within environments utilizing Atlassian tooling, modern engineering platforms, and AI-assisted development tools under enterprise governance constraints.

• Hands-on experience modernising enterprise software delivery environments
• Deep understanding of AI-assisted SDLC tooling including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Atlassian Intelligence, Rovo, or similar
• Experience improving engineering productivity, developer workflows, and delivery maturity
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, release governance, and environment management
• Experience leading or contributing to testing transformation initiatives
• Ability to facilitate workshops with engineers, delivery leaders, and executives
• Strong communication and consulting capability
• Australian enterprise experience
• Ability to operate credibly with technical teams while also engaging confidently with senior business stakeholders
• Hands-on and commercially aware, comfortable operating without a large support structure
• Able to challenge engineering teams constructively and thrive in ambiguous environments
• Interested in practical AI enablement, not AI hype
• Highly regarded: Financial services or insurance experience, Atlassian ecosystem expertise, Developer experience or platform engineering background, Experience with .NET and modern web engineering environments, AI governance or enterprise AI adoption experience, Consulting or advisory background
